Ingredients
Ingredients
Serves 2
For the oats layer:
-
1 cup organic whole rolled oats
-
1 cup milk (A2 milk, almond, oat or coconut work well)
-
1 tbsp chia seeds
-
1 tbsp GoodFor maple syrup
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
1 tsp Maca powder
-
1 tbsp hemp hearts
For the ‘cream’ layer:
- 1 cup plain coconut yoghurt or thick greek yoghurt
- 1 tbsp GoodFor maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the espresso layer:
- ¼ cup brewed espresso or strong coffee, cooled
- Optional: a dash of maple syrup for a sweeter touch
To finish:
- A dusting of GoodFor cacao powder
- Optional: dark chocolate shavings or cacao drops
Method
-
In a bowl, combine the oats, milk, chia seeds, maple syrup, vanilla, Maca powder and hemp hearts. Stir well and let sit for 10 minutes to thicken slightly.
-
In a separate bowl, mix the yoghurt with maple syrup and vanilla until smooth.
-
Brew your espresso or strong coffee and let it cool to room temperature.
-
In two jars or glasses, layer the ingredients: start with half the oat mixture, drizzle with a little espresso, then add a spoonful of the cream layer. Repeat the layers once more.
-
Finish with a dusting of raw cacao powder and, if you like, a sprinkle of chocolate shavings or cacao drops.
-
Refrigerate overnight or for at least 4 hours to allow the flavours to meld and the oats to soften.
Serving Tip:
Enjoy straight from the fridge with a spoon and a quiet moment—just for you.
