GoodFor is proud to be a team of 70 passionate individuals working towards a shared goal of introducing slower living to the world. GoodFor attracts people who are passionate about food, health and the environment. Our day to day involves maintaining the stores, topping up stock and engaging with our community. We spend a lot of time with a cloth in hand, keeping the place spotless, but also getting stuck in with sorting and unpacking stock as needed. We favour reliability and consistency, and welcome a broad range of backgrounds and experiences onto our team.

  • An exciting opportunity has opened up to join the GoodFor team as the Store Leader (manager) of the Stonefields store in Auckland.

    GoodFor is a progressive grocery brand, leading the way in sustainable and health-focused shopping. GoodFor is powered by a team of passionate individuals all working towards the goal of introducing a more sustainable way of grocery shopping available to the mainstream. The Store Leaders link the store experience to the broader vision of the company, and work alongside head office to drive innovation and growth.

    This role is 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

    Applicants must have:

    - Experience as a store manager, with experience managing and coaching team members
    - A natural passion for sustainability, whole foods and cooking
    - Excellent communication skills with both customers and fellow team members
    - A love for being around people and the ability to confidently build relationships with customers
    - The ability to commit to the role long- term.
    - Flexibility to be able to travel to any of our other Auckland stores, warehouse and out of Auckland stores should the need arise from time to time.
    - Must be physically strong and healthy as you'll be lifting up to 20kg as needed

    Key accountabilities include:

    - Driving sales and customer satisfaction to an exceptional standard
    - Taking care of inventory levels and regular stock takes.
    - Building and nurturing long lasting customer relationships
    - Maintaining the store appearance to the GoodFor standard
    - Managing a team of store operators and building a positive and thriving workplace culture
    - Communicating with head office regularly and consistently.

    GoodFor’s Store Operators are the face of our business and are highly engaged in daily operations. We prioritise customer experience and the cleanliness of our stores, as well as providing high quality trustworthy food.

    Our Store Operators generally work between two and four shifts a week. A day in this role involves lifting and unpacking stock, maintaining the store (cleaning!) and most importantly welcoming customers into our stores. It’s a busy, task orientated role that requires attention to detail and initiative, topped off with a shared passion for what we do (ie, a natural love for wholefoods and sustainable living helps!).

    We seek authentic, genuine communicators who will take pride in sharing a bit of GoodFor with every customer.

    To maintain the calm and routine team environment we have cultivated, we ask that you consider your availability and commitment carefully before applying for these positions.

  • 10-15 hours available a week.

    GoodFor is all about good food and filling pantries sustainably. We are looking for high energy team members that are keen to join our brilliant team of warehouse support and packers.

    On a day-to-day basis you will be picking and packing orders for customers and getting them ready for dispatch. Ensuring all details are correct and checked - including the size or quantity of products, as well as the packaging to avoid any leakages, spills or breakages. As part of the role, you’ll be working in a team to ensure all orders are going out on time - communicating with the manager about what needs to be done, reporting on issues or inefficiencies. You’ll also be expected to help out in other areas including general warehousing duties, production tasks, inwards goods receiving or cleaning.

    You will have:
    - Attention to detail
    - Be organised, efficient, fast-thinking
    - Flexible & work well under pressure
    - Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
    - Follow instructions and be detailed with tasks
    - Ability to find efficiencies and work fast
    - Ability to do basic mathematics
    - Ability to pick things up quickly
    - Previous experience in a similar role is ideal
    - Be physically strong and healthy as you'll be lifting up to 25kg
