Role Description
- Experience as a store manager in retail, with experience managing and coaching team members.
- Experience in fresh produce management in a retail environment.
- Experience in stock management & reporting.
- A natural passion for sustainability, whole foods and cooking.
- Excellent communication skills with both customers and fellow team members.
- A love for being around people and the ability to confidently build positive and lasting relationships with customers.
- The ability to commit to the role long-term (minimum 2 years +)
- Flexibility to be able to travel to other Auckland stores, our warehouse and out of Auckland stores should the need arise from time to time.
- Must be physically strong and healthy as you'll be lifting up to 20kg as needed.
- Driving sales and customer satisfaction to an exceptional standard.
- Extreme care and attention to detail with managing stock and inventory levels and recording.
- Building and nurturing long lasting customer relationships.
- Maintaining the store appearance to a very high standard.
- Managing a team of store operators and building a positive and thriving workplace culture .
- Communicating with head office regularly and consistently.

An exciting opportunity has opened up to join the GoodFor team as a Store Manager of the newest GoodFor store in Grey Lynn. This role will encompass overall store management, with the introduction of fresh produce management.
GoodFor is a progressive grocery brand, leading the way in sustainable and health-focused shopping. GoodFor is powered by a team of passionate individuals all working towards the goal of introducing a more sustainable way of grocery shopping available to the mainstream. The store managers’ link the store experience to the broader vision of the company, and work alongside head office to drive innovation and growth.

How to applyWeekday Availability Essential. GoodFor’s Store Operators are the face of our business and are highly engaged in daily operations. We prioritise thorough training, ongoing investment and regular check ins to involve our team in the broader company.
Our Store Operators generally work between two and four shifts a week. A day in this role involves lifting and unpacking stock, maintaining the store (cleaning!) and welcoming customers into our stores. It’s a busy, task orientated role that requires attention to detail and initiative, topped off with a shared passion for what we do. We seek authentic, genuine communicators who will take pride in sharing a bit of GoodFor with every customer.
To maintain the calm and routine team environment we have cultivated, we ask that you consider your availability and commitment carefully before applying for these positions. Weekend work is expected.
