Salted Tahini Date Chocolate Bark
This Tahini Date Bark is the kind of goodness that hits every note - chewy, creamy, crunchy, rich, sweet and a little salty, and made with just a handful of beautiful wholefood ingredients.
It's ridiculously easy to make.
Ingredients
Ingredients
- 12 Medjool dates, pitted
- 1 - 2 tbsp GoodFor tahini (approx.)
- 100g 70% dark chocolate drops
- Flaky NZ sea salt
Method
- Gently tear or slice the dates open, remove the pits and lay them flat onto a piece of baking paper in a single layer.
- Lay another piece of baking paper on top then roll them out so they get nice and thin.
- Pull off the top layer of baking paper, spread over the tahini and smooth it gently across the dates.
- Melt the chocolate in a double boiler (a bowl over a lightly simmering pot of water) and pour it over the tahini layer, smoothing it out with the back of a spoon.
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and pop into the fridge or freezer to set. This takes about 30 minutes.
- Once firm, break or slice into bark-style pieces. Store in the fridge and enjoy anytime you want a little something sweet that still feels good.
Perfect with a cup of tea or coffee for any time of day!
