Creamy Cacao & Cashew Oat Porridge with Caramelised Dates

Here at GoodFor, we’re leaning into the slower rhythm of autumn and this Creamy Cacao & Cashew Oat Porridge with Caramelised Dates is the perfect nourishing autumn breakfast.

Ingredients

1/2 cup rolled oats

1 cup plant mylk (cashew or almond works beautifully)

1 tbsp GoodFor cacao powder

1–2 dates, chopped

1 tbsp cashew butter 

Pinch of sea salt

Cinnamon or cardamom for warming spice

To Serve:

Caramelised dates (sauté chopped dates in a little coconut oil + sea salt)

Toasted cashews or activated nuts

Drizzle of maple or honey if desired

Method

In a small saucepan, combine oats, mylk, cacao, chopped dates, and salt. Simmer over low heat, stirring until thick and creamy.
Stir in cashew butter for extra richness.
Top with caramelised dates, nuts, and a touch of something sweet.
Best enjoyed warm, with a quiet moment to yourself.
