
Crispy Chickpea Fritters

Our super quick and easy version of falafel - Full of flavour, crispy on the outside with a soft centre. Ideal with salad and rice or inside a burger, and pairs nicely with a tzatziki yoghurt dip.

1 can of chickpeas

¾ cup chickpea flour

2 tsp parsley

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 - 2 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp nutritional yeast flakes
- ⅓ cup boiling water
- ⅓ cup olive oil

3 Tbsp silky tahini
(Ingredients not available online can be found in store)
Method

Drain the chickpeas, pour them into a bowl & mash them so that only about ⅓ are still whole.

Add all dry ingredients to a separate bowl and whisk them together.

Add the boiling water, olive oil and tahini then whisk again.

Add the chickpeas and stir them in well.

Warm a pan with oil on medium heat (We used olive oil).

Spoon the batter into the pan in whatever size works for you, flip cook to the other side once golden and a little crispy.
Best eaten warm!
