Heading off to the bach for the summer holidays? Be sure to stock up on some GoodFor foodie staples before you get on the road so you don’t find yourself stranded without wholefoods throughout the break. There are some key staples that will come in handy in many different snacking and meal settings over your summer break. Read on to find out some of our faves and how they can be used!

Cereal

Keeping your cereal supplies high is not a bad option if you’ve got kids and their friends coming and going from the bach. Our full range of cereals are a great option for feeding the masses at breakfast time, providing a simple and nourishing breakie either eaten as is, or topped with your favourite yoghurt and fresh summer fruits. For Coco Pops lovers, Coco Crunchies are a health-ified version of the old classic and a great option to stock up for breakfast or to bake into Chocolate Crackles on those unforeseen rainy days.

Coffee

Routine or not, summer or winter, coffee is always a must! Our beans are fairtrade, organic, super tasty and can be ground down and used in your coffee machine, plunger or even to make filter coffee. Remember when storing your coffee beans, make sure they are in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight to help minimise oxidation and degradation and to prolong their delightful, natural flavour. Check out our coffee refillery in store!

Dried Fruit

Keeping a stash of dried fruits will save you reaching for not-so-nourishing snacks like it’s so easy to do over the silly season. We have a huge range of dried fruits to keep snacking exciting and to suit all taste and texture preferences. Our personal faves include whole figs, pineapple rings, papaya strips and, of course, the trusty old classic, dried apricots. Eat them as is or add them to entertaining platters when you’ve got guests.

Quinoa

Nothing beats a light quinoa salad on a hot summery day; the perfect accompaniment to your BBQ food or simply eaten as is. Try this Quinoa Salad w Kale, Cranberries, Goat Cheese & Pistachios on Christmas or surrounding festive days. It’s a little bit decadent and super satisfying while still being nourishing. This Peach and Walnut Salad is another summery salad option that combines nutty quinoa with juicy peaches, crisp rocket, crunchy walnuts and tangy lemon. This salad will give the whole fam all the energy needed to make the most of the sun filled days! Stocking up on quinoa doesn’t just make for delicious summer salads, but can also be used to make tasty breakfasts like this Bircher Porridge w Coconut Mylk or this simple yet effective Quinoa Porridge. The options with quinoa are endless!
