Decadent, rich and crunchy - this dark chocolate granola slice is sure to satisfy all your sweet cravings. It also just happens to be gluten free, dairy free and refined sugar free as well as being super easy to make. The base uses our new 'puff daddy' granola (available in stores now) which is packed full of delicious puffed grains combined with the rich taste of cacao and creamy peanut butter. This crunchy granola layer is balanced with a smooth chocolate topping made with cacao butter and powder for a deep, dark chocolatey taste you won't be able to resist!

Makes approx. 12 slices

Ingredients:

⅓ cup crunchy peanut butter 
½ cup cacao butter wafers 
3 tbsp maple syrup*
⅓ cup cacao powder 
2 cups puff daddy granola*

Chocolate topping:  
¼
cup cacao butter wafers  
¼
cup coconut oil*  
cup cacao powder  
3 tbsp maple syrup* 
½ tsp vanilla extract 

Method:

In a saucepan, gently heat the peanut butter, ½ cup of the cacao butter wafers, 3 tbsp of maple syrup and ⅓ cup cacao powder. Stir constantly until melted and fully combined.

In a large mixing bowl, add the puffed granola then pour over the melted peanut butter chocolate mixture. 

Fold through until the granola is evenly coated.

Place in a lined baking tin and press down firmly. Place in the freezer to harden for at least 2 hours.

To make the chocolate topping, add the ¼ cup cacao butter wafers, coconut oil, ⅓ cup cacao powder, 3 tbsp maple syrup and vanilla extract.

Heat over a low heat, stirring constantly until melted and fully combined.

Pour over the hardened granola layer and place in the freezer for a further 30 minutes or until the top layer has set.

Remove from the freezer and slice into squares.
