This detox green smoothie is perfect for cleansing post-holiday. Filled with nourishing fibre and plenty of greens – the natural chlorophyll will have your cells happy once again! Make a big batch and store in glass bottles for a refreshing pick-me-up in the afternoon or first thing in the morning.

Serves 1


1 cup chopped mango (fresh or frozen) 
1 cup chopped kale
½ an avocado
2 large sticks celery
¼ of a medium cucumber
1 teaspoon spirulina 
1 teaspoon psyllium husk 
1 cup coconut water (or filtered water)
Optional: 2cm piece of fresh ginger or 2 tbsp chopped mint leaves


1. First, add the kale and coconut water or water to a high speed blender and blend until smooth. Blending your green with the liquid first helps to eliminate any green lumps that may make your smoothie much less enjoyable.

2. Once the kale is all blended up, add the rest of the ingredients and blend on high until completely smooth.

3. Pour in a glass bottle and enjoy!
