About

Semolina is a coarse flour made from durum wheat. It's used all over the world in bread, pasta, cereals and porridge. It has a mild, earthy aroma. Semolina is high in protein and fibre — both of which slow digestion and increase feelings of fullness between meals. It is a high-gluten type of flour that’s more coarsely ground than many wheat flours.

Uses

Commonly used for adding to homemade bread, pasta - add a little flour to the dough to help give a tasty crust. It gives a nutty, sweeter taste.
