About
New Zealand grown white quinoa. A delicious spray-free variety grown with minimal intervention in the Taranaki. A nutty, protein-rich grain that is naturally gluten-free and a wonderful alternative to rice.
Uses
To cook white quinoa, start by thoroughly rinsing it under running water until the water runs clear. In a pot, add a cup of quinoa and two cups of water or stock, cover the pot and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat to simmer until all liquid is absorbed, about 15-20 minutes. Versatile in the kitchen, and can be served cold or hot. Use in salads, buddha bowls, burger patties or as a hearty replacement for rice. Add it to soups, stews and baking for added moisture, texture and nutrition.

As a vegetarian I consider quinoa a very important food especially for energy, and to have quinoa grown in New Zealand, is especially good.
