These almonds have been soaked in filtered water until they sprout, and then dehydrated at a low temperature until they are approximately 10-15% lighter and super crunchy. This “activation” releases healthy enzymes from the nut, which are amazing for energy and vitality, and allows for simple digestion and maximal health benefits. 

Uses

Activated almonds are a lovely snack that will fill that gap between mealtime and provide satiation. They can be included in trail mixes, salads, desserts, granolas, mueslis, bars and porridges. Make your own scroggin mix using activated almonds and a combination of other nuts and dried fruits, or sprinkle them on top of fresh fruit and yoghurt for a light, energising breakfast or snack. Roughly chop activated almonds to sprinkle over soups, stews and curries. Activated almonds can be considered an energising addition to sweet and savoury recipes alike.
