About
Icing sugar is made from organic golden cane sugar and organic tapioca starch, therefore it is gluten-free, unrefined, bleach-free and chemical-free. It is perfect for making plain and flavoured frostings for cakes, cupcakes, muffins and cookies, or can be more simply used for dusting brownies or seasonal fruit as a yummy dessert option.
Uses
When baking at home, it’s always fun to spice up your creations with a delicious icing layer, such as cream cheese icing on your carrot cakes, chocolate icing on your chocolate cakes, zesty lemon icing on your banana cakes or a super simple vanilla icing. All of these variations are easy to make using this organic icing sugar. Start with one cup of icing sugar to one tablespoon of water than gradually add water until your desired consistency is achieved; thick but spreadable. Add cacao powder, vanilla extract, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest or whatever other flavours tickle your fancy. Mix well then load up that frosting onto your baked goods for a delicious finish. If you’re more of a simple baker, dusting your baked goods with straight icing sugar will also go down a treat. Simply load some icing sugar into a small sieve and use the back of a spoon to sprinkle over your creation.
