Organic Millet Hulled


Millet is one of the oldest foods known to man and is packed with plenty of nourishing plant-based goodness, in particular protein and dietary fibre. It is widely grown as a cereal crop, originating in Africa and the Indian sub-continent thousands of years ago. This organic hulled millet has a nutty, slightly sweet flavour with a light, fluffy texture that makes it a very versatile grain in many sweet and savoury recipes.


To cook your millet, add a cup of hullet millet to 3 cups of water and bring to the boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and simmer covered for about 20-25 minutes or until the millet is soft. Drain and fluff well with a fork before serving. Millet is delicious in just about anything, from breakfast bowls and salads through to soups and stir-fries, and of course as a grain accompaniment to all your savoury meals.
