Rich in fibre and protein, chickpeas are also naturally gluten-free and low in sodium making them a popular ingredient in many vegan and vegetarian dishes. These golden chickpeas have a delicious nutty taste and buttery texture, and are a versatile pantry staple for so many different recipes.
Dried chickpeas require a long cooking time of 1-2 hours, however this can be shortened if soaked for 12-24 hours beforehand.
