Garlic Powder

About

Garlic powder is ground dehydrated garlic grown by ‘working with nature’ using no chemical pesticides, herbicides or artificial fertilisers. The distinct sharp taste of garlic is an essential in the kitchen, with a role to play in basically every cuisine. It is a touch more mellow and sweet than the fresh version, yet gives that unmistakable flavour, and without the need for any peeling or chopping! For a boost of savoury deliciousness, sprinkle garlic powder on practically anything, from soups, sauces and dips, through to roasted vegetables and homemade kale chips. Just a little goes a long way, with ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder being equivalent to around 1 clove of fresh garlic.

Uses

Garlic powder dissolves easily when added to other foods during cooking. It is a tasty addition to other spice mixes, soups, stir-fries, salad dressings and savoury snacks. It is super delicious in these Baked Polenta Chips, which go amazingly served alongside a creamy dip of some sort. It is also used in this Brazil Nut Parmesan, a unique plant-based cheese that makes the ideal addition to a party platter. The taste of garlic powder has also been utilised in these warming and hearty Walnut & Black Bean Meatballs, these light and summery Chickpea Lettuce Cups and this delightful breakie Chickpea Omelette. All recipes made even tastier with garlic powder.
