Your Instagram feed is probably full of them and you may have even paid a small fortune for one at a café, so why not make your own? A homemade açai bowl is the perfect breakfast or brunch and this nutrient-packed power bowl can be whipped up in only a few minutes. Açai is berry that is native to Brazil, with a flavour that can be described as a mix of berries and dark chocolate. It not only tastes amazing but it also packs a nutritional punch, being loaded full of antioxidants and amino acids. Try topping this with our flat belly sally muesli which is gluten-free and can assist with ‘tummy issues’ or bloating.
1 tablespoon açai powder
1 frozen banana
1 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries
1/2-1 cup coconut water or normal water (adjust depending on desired consistency)
Top with flat belly sally muesli
In a high speed blender, add the berries, banana, açai powder, date and coconut water (or water).
Blend until smooth and add extra liquid if required.
Add to a bowl and sprinkle with whatever toppings your heart desires.
