These cacao almond fat balls are delicious, fudgy and packed with healthy fats. They are the perfect afternoon or post workout snack and they help to eliminate sugar cravings due to the high-fat content. These nutritionally dense bites are low in sugar so they help to avoid that late-afternoon slump as well as giving you the energy to power through the day or recover post workout.

Ingredients:

1 cup walnuts 
1 cup cashews 
½ cup sunflower seeds 
2 tbsp chia seeds 
½ cup shredded coconut 
⅓ cup cacao powder + extra for rolling 
½ cup almond butter 
½ tsp pink Himalayan salt 
1 ½ tbsp maple syrup (optional)*
3-6 tbsp nut mylk

Method:

Add the walnuts, cashews, sunflower seeds and coconut to a food processor and process until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.

Then add the rest of the ingredients, except the almond milk and process until everything is combined.

Then in small increments, add the nut mylk until the mixture is slightly sticky and is easy to roll.

Taking about 1 tbsp at a time, roll into balls.

Then roll the balls in cacao powder so each ball has a light coating.

Store in the fridge for up to 10 days.
